Quiet at the pool today. The mallards flew off as I arrived; the song thrush was quiet - intermittent. The little wren paid a visit, hopping down from the tree and briefly on to the bank of the pool. Saw two humans, one with a dog, for the first time. The human with dog walked around the pool past me - they live in the house which overlooks the pool.

The 'heron' came back to the tree. (I've since found out is not a heron at all but a cormorant, possibly white breasted.
