Heron 2 Frog 0

Both big birds visited today. The #cormorant arrived first and took up the top spot in the tall conifer at the back of the pond. Later, the #heron arrived at the side of the pool, started walking around the edge and then disappeared from sight and seemed to fly off. I wondered if it had spotted the cormorant. About 10 minutes later though, I saw the heron at its breakfast table again - on the banking opposite my sit spot, dunking and swallowing another tasty #frog.

The pair of #bullfinches arrived to snack on the buds of the #horsechestnut immediately to my left.

The #magpies and #woodpigeons were busy scooting to and fro with twigs for nest building. One of the wood pigeon's is setting up its nest in the midst of the ivy covering the tree to my right.
